Level: Easy
Materials:
24g copper wire
16g dead soft sterling wire (do not cut soured yet)
2 Bali drum beads
For a 7 1/2″ bangle:
Using a mandrel, create 3 1 ?” tightly wound coils using the copper wire. String one copper coil, one drum bead, one copper coil, one drum bead, and one copper coil on the 16g sterling wire. Make a round loop at the unstoppered end of the sterling wire. Harden the loop and 6″ of the 16g wire using a beetle or hammer. Slide the coils and drum beads to the round loop; they should fit snugly against it. Cut the sterling wire from your winder ?” from the end of the last coil and attain another round loop and harden it. Using additional 16g wire, attain 1″ S hook clasp and attach to one end loop.
If you are using larger gauge copper wire or making a individual bracelet, adjust the size of the sterling wire accordingly. Larger gauge wire will create coils with a bigger diameter, requiring a larger coverall size to fit on the wrist.
Because you have hardened the sterling wire, your bangle will be stiffer and keep its appearance better, however you haw ease want to appearance it to your wrist preceding to wearing.
